COMPOSITING

HELLRAISER (2022)From fixing the prosthetics, to re-adding the chain and animating it directly in Nuke. This project taught me plenty about cleanups, warps, and script organization. Being part of this team is something I'll always remember fondly, along with the amazing mentorship I was given.
HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGAWorking on this project was an amazing challenge, where 2D elements had to be on par with CG, along with being careful with the smallest of details for the sake of continuity, helping along with the storytelling.
KNOX GOES AWAYSuch a simple shot, and yet one I'm very proud of! The goal: add more trees, make it look like a busy forest. So I did just that! Color correction, some keying here and there, painting shadows, being very (and I mean very) mindful of the lighting as well as the edges... all of this was achieved in 2D. Good times!

MR ROBOTThis shot welcomed me into the industry (really, it was the first task I was ever assigned). It was pretty long, so my lead divided it in two parts and I worked this first one with the billboard. This show's lens was something else, but the final result paid off! Not to mention it became my top favorite series.

MANKAh, this hall... I lost track of how many times I've seen this shot from start to finish. A pretty lengthy one, too. But I was up for this challenge and achieved a pretty safe and accurate result! Now I can't help but smile every time I think of this track and this hall.

S.O.Z. SOLDADOS O ZOMBIESEvery single shot that involved this particular zombie was an absolute blast, one that tested my skills and patience. The end result was worth it, as I successfully tracked his head movements for CG and things matched as they needed for compositing.
3D & VR
Before I joined the movie industry, I was an active part of a small independent studio called Realidad Virtual MX, run by a dear mentor of mine and someone I learned plenty from about 3D modeling, lighting, and later on everything I know about Virtual Reality. Our main software for these projects were Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine.I was involved in multiple projects as well as on-site events. Here's a few of them:
VESTAA virtual tour to their installations. We were tasked with recreating the entirety of it. I worked on the interior and everything there's in it, including the KUKA robots! We also attended the event where they showed the final project off, taking care of both the equipment as well as clients.
TAKO LOKO VRThis was an internal project from the studio! I took part in modeling and texturing, as well as putting together the large variety of differently prepared tacos.
AXOLOTLThis model, along with its textures and rig, were done by me. It was later adapted as a VR avatar!
CAPISTRANO COOKING SIMULATORI modeled the entirety of the cooking table and most of the kitchen equipment, along with some of the ingredients! I also served as supervisor of my other team mates, making sure they delivered up to standard and helping them with any questions regarding modeling and texturing.
HP PLOTTER IN ARFor this one the client requested an Augmented Reality compatible model of this Plotter, and I helped with the bottom part of it! The end result met the client's standard and it served during an event where we also participated to ensure everything worked perfectly.
Additionally, we were present during multiple private events to provide entertainment, supervising the VR equipment and helping customers enjoy an extensive variety of games (and also keeping them safe!). Other type of events we attended were, for example, numerous ones for Walmart Mexico Corporate, were our equipment and presence was needed for innovative training techniques for new hires.
